Association

The basic idea of the association is to organize a unique triennial of engraved glass founded in 1996, which continues the symposium events started in the 1960s and which has its irreplaceable place in the context of Czech applied art and design as a living and functional platform of the field. Currently, there is no other art symposium focusing solely on engraved glass and related techniques. Its traditions in a place with a centuries-old tradition of glassmaking, with excellent facilities at the Secondary School of Glassmaking, which has always been home to outstanding personalities in the field, and at the local museum (undergoing reconstruction). The Symposium of Engraved Glass z.s. is a registered association with a long tradition of organizing symposia of engraved glass in Kamenický Šenov and other activities associated with this internationally prestigious meeting of masters of engraved glass, such as lectures, workshops, workshops, etc.
